octomom

14-children mother Nadya Suleman did yesterday with her eight youngest an''Halloween walk''. She made a huge mistake when she as jobless, single and with 6 children, wanted to be pregnant again, but now it's done, and humor she seems to have, and it requires in her situation. Or does she just want to have even more attention!?

16-year-old....

..... will sail alone around the world! Her pink sailboat, "Ella's Pink Lady", is 10 meters long. The trip is 38 000 km and will take her from Sydney, around the world, and back again. In just over eight months - or 240 days - she will be all alone aboard the boat. Jessica Watson will, if she completes the journey, becoming the youngest to have sailed solo around the world. Good luck, brave girl!!

tough guys.......

This I love. Do not mess up with the wrong person. Two champs in fighting sports were out at a bachelor party, dressed as drag queens , when two tough guys wanted to beat them up. No luck this time ... hahaha. I am against all forms of violence, but this is so funny.

Pickpockets!

Most vulnerable to thieves are the tourists who visit Barcelona in Spain. Las Ramblas, is said to be the perfect place to get valuable contents stolen.
Italy's capital Rome. Be aware of being robbed if you move near the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. Thieves cut the camera strap and steal your camera in an instant.
Czech capital of Prague is in third place. Charles Bridge, with all the statues along the railing, provides many opportunities for the thief.
In fourth place is Madrid in Spain. At the flea market, El Rastro, and even in the metro works different groupings of pickpockets.
Paris in France is the fifth in the list of cities where you should watch out for pickpockets. Especially in the metro.
Florence, Italy. There you should keep extra hard on your wallet.
In seventh place, Buenos Aires, Argentina. If someone suddenly accidentally spilling mustard on you, and then being helpful and try to wipe away the mess, you should be on your guard.
Eight of the list is Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Thieves take the opportunity to steal from you when you think that everything is relaxed and friendly.
In Athens, Greece be aware of pickpockets.
Number ten is Hanoi, Vietnam. Hanoi's older neighborhoods attract pickpockets.

..thoughts...

For each day that passes, we come closer to the day when everything ends. Or is it that day it really begins.... Nobody knows. I want to seize each day, and I wish that everyone did the same. Such a short time we are on earth, make the best out of it. I know that life is incredibly unfair. So many people are making life a hell for others, children are vulnerable. What is it with humans! Why do we make life so hard for each other. In a world full of misery. I try to see the beauty in life, enjoy what I have, and hope that life will be better for all those who suffer.

from 0-100....

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. If it is true or not, I leave unsaid, but, average life expectancy in the rich world continues to increase. Of the children born today in developed countries like Sweden, more than half will reach at least 100 years. The conclusion is presented in the medical journal The Lancet.

flying with the wind...

As the balloons are drifting with the wind the control is non-existent, and yes, we were near the tops of the trees a few times .....but it is facinating.

Today I was at Wanås Castle, where an exhibition is taking place. The exhibition is about people's relationship to nature. Footprints, is the name of this year's exhibition...it's marked by the threat to the environment and the ecological thinking.

I love this picture of my daughter and her friend. This is drama.....

small talk...

The old telephone box are now abandoned. Nobody needs them. But there was a time when they were important. Many secret talks have taken place, many irritated people waiting outside an occupied cabin. Many travelers have announced their arrival. Lovers have had they're cooing talk. And many messages have been written at the walls.

smarrig Prinsesstårta

Tid: 2 ½ timme, varav 40 min i ugnen

 12-14 bitar

Du behöver:

Bottnar:

  • 4 ägg
  • 2 dl socker
  • 1 dl vetemjöl
  • 1 dl potatismjöl
  • 2 tsk bakpulver

Fyllning:

  • 5 blad gelatin (kan uteslutas, men då blir fyllningen inte lika fast)
  • 2 dl vaniljkräm (Marsan som man kokar går bra)
  • 2 tsk vaniljsocker
  • 5 dl vispgrädde

Garnering:

  • 1 marsipanlock (eller 300 g marsipan + grön hushållsfärg)
  • ev. 1 marsipanros eller annan dekoration
  • 1 tsk florsocker

Marsipanros:

  • 40 g marsipan
  • 1 droppe röd hushållsfärg
  • 1 droppe grön hushållsfärg

Gör så här:

Bottnar:

Fyllning:

Lägg gelatinbladen i kallt vatten.

Skär tårtbotten i 3 delar.

Leonard Cohen

I have got to know Jan Erik Lundqvist and his pleasant wife. He interprets Leonard Cohen in Swedish, in a special and wonderful way. He gave me a CD yesterday, thanks. He is also a friend of Cohen's sister, who lives in NY. Cool ...
